Ford will sell a special edition of the outgoing Focus alongside the all-new model which reaches UK dealerships in March.
The brand has also confirmed it will not sell a three-door version of the new model. The five-door will be followed by an estate in April and a sporty ST version will follow next year.
The highly specified Focus Sport will be available until the end of the summer and is priced at £15,000, compared with £15,995 for the entry model of the new range. The model is powered by a choice of 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines. The all-new model will retail from £15,995.
Standard features include satellite navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and parking sensors.
Ford’s sales director Jon Wellsman confirmed the brand’s decision to drop the three door form the new line-up.
“We have dropped the three door model because it only accounted for a very small percentage of Focus sales. It had limited value as a lead-in for fleets and some private buyers, but the bulk of sales are five-door.”
